    TVs

This 43-inch set, the Insignia NS-43D420NA20, is a basic 1080p TV from Best Buy’s house brand. It offers satisfying high-definition picture quality, plus a wider-than-average viewing angle for an LCD TV. It lacks any smart TV features, so you may want to add a streaming player to stream shows and movies.

Why it’s a good deal: This set is still available for its Cyber Monday price.

The Hisense 65U6H is in the company’s entry-level ULED series, which uses quantum dots for a wider range of colors. It has good overall performance, plus a few step-up features, including a full-array LED backlight with local dimming which can help improve contrast.

Why it’s a good deal: This model has satisfying overall picture quality, and also has variable refresh rate (VRR) support for gaming.

    Streaming Devices

This updated Apple TV 4K, from 2021, has a few new notable features, including a redesigned Siri remote with a clickpad rather than the love-it-or-hate-it touchpad. It also has a new processor for improved graphics and video, including support for high frame rate (60fps) Dolby Vision HDR. A unique feature is a unique color-calibration feature that works with your iPhone to automatically adjust the picture’s color balance. Note that Apple recently announced an even newer model.

Why it’s a good deal: Walmart still has this model at its lowest price we’ve seen as part of its Cyber Monday sale. It’s over $100 everywhere else.

The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max is the company’s fastest player, thanks to a powerful processor, so apps launch quicker than on earlier models. Also, it includes WiFi 6, the latest WiFi version. (You’ll need a WiFi 6 router to take advantage of this feature, though it works with older routers.) This model supports the HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision HDR formats, as well as Dolby Atmos audio. (At Best Buy, you get four free months of Amazon Music.)

Why it’s a good deal: This matches the best price we’ve seen for this model.

    Headphones

The Bose Quiet Comfort 45 noise-canceling headphones hit the sweet spot of price and performance. They don’t sound quite as good as the Bose 700, but they still sound fine and are significantly cheaper. They also got top marks from our testers for their noise-canceling performance.

Why it’s a good deal: Bose products don’t go on sale very often, so this chance to save almost $100 on a solid-performing model deserves your consideration. This model has dropped $20 just since Friday, so this is the time to strike.

If you want spectacular sound, this is the deal for you. The Sony WF-1000XM4 is one of our top-rated pairs of noise-canceling earbuds, featuring stellar sound quality and noise cancellation that ranks among the best in this category. It also sports a long battery life and handy features such as an ambient sound-monitoring mode that lets you keep an ear on your environment.

Why it’s a good deal: Only Amazon still has these earbuds for their Cyber Monday discount. Everyone else is selling them for $228 or more.

JALL Wake Up Light Sunrise Alarm Clock

The JALL Wake Up Light Sunrise Alarm Clock is at least half the price of other clocks we tested, but from an ease-of-use standpoint, this model comes out on top. It has two independent alarms (so you can set them for different times depending on your routine), seven alarm tones (including “wind bells” and birds chirping), an FM radio, and a fall-asleep mode that simulates a sunset (though no white-noise option).

Why it’s a good deal: Already on the more affordable end, this savings makes the JALL an even sunnier option.

The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean smart toothbrush does a great job keeping teeth free of plaque, getting a top score in CR’s tests. It offers five cleaning modes and a built-in timer. All the colors of this toothbrush are on sale, though the steepest discount is on pink. The sonic brush head is a great option for those who prefer a more traditional shape of toothbrush (rather than a round, rotating brush).

Why it’s a good deal: This high-end toothbrush is one of the best models on sale, and the on-page coupon takes another $6 off the price.

    Fitness Equipment

The Peleton exercise bike is CR’s top-rated bike, and it’s hard to beat at its original price, and is a great deal with a discount. It’s a compact bike that’s highly adjustable, and connects to Peloton’s service for a large library of workouts.

Why it’s a good deal: This is the best price we’ve seen for the Peleton.

This Bowflex Adjustable Dumbbell set has a good hand grip and lots of weight settings in the lower ranges—which makes these weights a good option for those who are toning or just beginning to use dumbbells. The dumbbells remain the same length at all weights, which can require some adjustments to range of motion for certain exercises.

Why it’s a good deal: This beats the previous sale price for this model $80.

    Small Kitchen Appliances

The Toastmaster Two-Slice Toaster lends a slightly mid-century modern look to your counter, and browns bread quickly and quite capably—handling one and two slices equally well. You’ll need to put English muffins in twice, though, since they’ll still look light after at the darkest setting. This toaster  includes bagel and frozen settings, and combo push-button and dial controls.

Why it’s a good deal: It’s not easy to find this stylish little workhorse in stainless, especially for less than $50—just use the code CYBER22 to get the full discount.

The Nespresso VertuoPlus offers a superb brewing range as well as solid first-cup speed and temperature consistency. In terms of features, it comes equipped with a removable water reservoir, a height-adjustable drip tray, and an auto-shutoff function. And Nespresso pod coffee makers earn top ratings for owner satisfaction and reliability in our member surveys. This machine uses Nespresso’s VertuoLine pods, not the OriginalLine other models use, so make sure you choose the correct pods.

Why it’s a good deal: Nespresso machines don’t go on sale often, and while we’ve seen bigger discounts for major sales, it’s always nice to save a little if you need a new coffee maker right now.

    Laptops, Chromebooks, and Tablets

The iPad Pro is a machine for power users, and it delivers the level of performance you’d expect from a high-end laptop. The display uses a technology called Mini LED, also present in some high-end TVs, that produces more vibrant images and better contrast than what’s possible with traditional LCD tech. It also has a lightning-fast refresh rate, which makes the animations in everything from video games to simply scrolling around iPadOS look smoother. The Pro has an exceptional camera and Apple’s blazing fast M1 processor, and the company ditched the lighting port in favor of a USB-C connector (meaning you’ll use the same cable that powers newer MacBooks). The model also aced our battery life tests.

    Why it’s a good deal: A $300 savings on a top-rated model? Yes, please.

The Microsoft Surface Pro X, released in fall 2019, has some drawbacks but is well worth a look at this price. It has a 13-inch display that can be physically detached from the keyboard. That makes it a good pick if you plan on using it like a digital sketchpad or tablet. It also has pretty good battery life, making it a good travel companion. But the ARM processor is a little on the slow side compared with the Intel chips found in other Surface devices. It also creates some software compatibility issues. Our testers, for example, couldn’t run certain antivirus software. Microsoft maintains a list of apps that might not run on the Pro X; be sure to consult it before purchasing the laptop.

Why it’s a good deal: More than a third off the regular price is a significant discount for any laptop.

    Fitness Trackers and Smartwatches

The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 is an incremental update from the Galaxy Watch4. It remains aimed squarely at consumers who use Samsung’s smartphone. It has a bright, round, 1.4-inch AMOLED display with a sapphire crystal that the company claims to be more rugged. The 5 features a robust suite of health and fitness options, including a blood oxygen sensor, ECG monitoring (that could detect irregularities in heart rhythm), and even a sensor that is claimed to measure body fat, all carryovers from the Watch4. A new addition is a body temperature sensor that’s not yet functional. One caveat: If you have an Android smartphone that’s not made by Samsung, you won’t be able to tap the this watch’s full capability.

Why it’s a good deal: The Watch5 is a brand new model so a modest discount is worth considering.

The Fitbit Charge 5 is the company’s top-of-the-line fitness tracker. It includes a number of features, like stress tracking and EKG monitoring, that tend to be found in smartwatches. It also has Fitbit’s robust array of fitness functions, although getting full access to your data will require a $10 monthly membership to Fitbit Premium. The large-ish color display and more elegant styling make the Charge 5 more suitable for all-day wear.

Why it’s a good deal: The biggest drawback to the full-featured Charge 5 is probably its smartwatch-like price, but this sale alleviates that problem.

    Smart Home

Interested in a smart lock but tired of hubs and dongles? The August WiFi Smart Lock is one of a growing number that connects directly to WiFi, with no hub needed. This August is also a retrofit model, meaning it replaces only the interior side of your deadbolt, so you can keep your existing keys. It performs quite well in our tests, including those for ease of remote access and convenience features. Those features include auto-locking and unlocking, voice and app control (via Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit/Siri, Google Assistant, and Samsung SmartThings), access logs, electronic keys, and a door sensor.

Why it’s a good deal: This is a solid discount, beating its Prime Day sale price from July.

    Bluetooth and Smart Speakers

If you prefer Google Assistant, with its flexible search engine, to Amazon’s skills-heavy, shopping-oriented Alexa, the Nest Audio is a solid choice. While the company has touted the model’s improved sonic performance, our testers find it falls short of, say, the Amazon Echo, with a midrange that’s a little hazy and some sizzle on the high frequencies.

Why it’s a good deal: At half of its usual $100 price, the Nest Audio is verging on stocking-stuffer territory.

    Soundbars

The Sony HT-S400 is a fairly basic 2.1-channel soundbar. We tested this 2022 model, and its sound is okay, though not great. Like other 2.1-systems it has a wireless subwoofer, but lacks a dedicated center channel that can improve voice clarity. This system is model that can’t be expanded to full surround sound by adding optional rear speakers.

Why it’s a good deal: The price was $20 lower for Cyber Monday, but this is still a great discount on a lower-cost soundbar that performs well.

The Bose Smart Soundbar 900 is a 5.0.2-channel Dolby Atmos soundbar with satisfying sound quality and a decent number of features, including Chromecast and two-way Bluetooth, plus built-in Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for using voice commands. You can add a wireless subwoofer and wireless rear surround speakers for a true surround-sound experience.

Why it’s a good deal: There was a $100 price cut on the Bose Smart Soundbar 900 at numerous retailers on Black Friday, but it’s now even $50 cheaper.
